One voice united in prayer-fueled, hope filled action.

In 2020, thousands stood and prayed for our nation on MLK streets in over 300 cities.  In January 2021, over two dozen ministries partnered together to harness the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday as a national day of prayer for healing.  In January 2022, musicians, artists and poets shared creative prayers for justice and righteousness on social media.

On August 28th, 1963, millions were infused with the dream of God as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  unleashed his “I Have A Dream” speech in Washington, DC. While those words have continued to resonate with every new generation, the dream has yet to be fully realized.

59 years later, there is still much work to be done.

“The large house in which we live demands that we transform this worldwide neighborhood into a worldwide brotherhood. Together we must learn to live as brothers or together we will be forced to perish as fools” –Dr.King

This August 28th, join us on MLK boulevard as we stand before Heaven in prayer, and before the Earth in petition; for truth, reconciliation, and reformation.

WHAT IS PRAY ON MLK?

Pray on MLK is a public action organized by Civil Righteousness, a 501c3 based in Ferguson, Missouri, dedicated to racial reconciliation and restorative justice through spiritual, cultural, and economic renewal.

As an expression of “Holy Activism”, Pray On MLK is a “prayer fueled protest” against everything that has hindered our ability to love one another; and a hope filled declaration of our future together.

With over 1,000 streets named after Dr.Martin Luther King, Jr. across the globe; we desire to see unified, multicultural expressions of prayer, worship, justice, and mercy on every avenue.

On August 28, take your place of prayer on your local MLK street.
